This means: In addition to the actual floor layer, click vinyl is additionally equipped with impact sound insulation or an HDF core layer. As the name suggests, vinyl flooring is installed floatingly using a modern click connection. With floating installation, the planks are not bonded to the subfloor. During assembly, the individual elements are arranged next to each other so that they join together with a quiet click.

Preparation is everything: for a perfect final result
Installing vinyl flooring is quite simple thanks to the click mechanism. To ensure you don't face any unpleasant surprises in the end, you should invest a little time in planning and preparation beforehand. We show you what matters:
- Before installing click vinyl from Parkett Hinterseer, it needs to acclimate. Place it in the desired room at least 24 hours in advance. This prevents dimensional differences and allows the material to evenly adjust to the room temperature.
- The subfloor should also be prepared for installation. Depending on the type of click vinyl, you may need to remove old floor coverings and level out unevenness. For damaged areas, filling them with a leveling compound is sufficient.
- The floor must be clean and dry.
Click vinyl – guaranteed installation success with these tips
- You only need a few tools for installation. Important ones include: tapping block, rubber mallet, spacer wedges, folding rule, utility knife, jigsaw, pencil, and ruler.
- If you want to lay click vinyl on screed or another mineral subfloor, remember a special PE foil to protect the floor from rising moisture.
- Start in the left corner of the room and place the planks longitudinally to the incoming light.
- The first row of click vinyl planks should be laid so that the tongues face the wall. Cut off the longitudinal tongues that lie directly against the wall beforehand. Now you can align the first row flush. Maintain a distance of at least ten millimeters from the wall, as vinyl expands and contracts as well.
- Skirting boards, radiator rosettes, and transition profiles at doors ensure a cohesive overall look.
