Reclaimed wood scaffolding plank

XL Reclaimed Scaffolding Wood Plank, Naturally Oiled – Exclusive Spruce Parquet Flooring with a Story

The XL reclaimed scaffolding wood plank with a natural oil finish is more than just a floor – it is a piece of living history that brings a distinctive atmosphere to every room. Crafted from old scaffolding boards that were once used during the restoration work on Cologne Cathedral, each plank bears visible traces of its previous life.
Day after day, this wood served as a secure platform for craftsmen working high above the ground. Exposed to wind and weather, it was shaped by time, labor, and its surroundings. This history remains tangible and forms the unique character of this reclaimed scaffolding wood plank.

The heavily brushed surface reveals the original beauty of the spruce wood once again.
Wood grain patterns are prominently highlighted, while small knots and weather-related cracks are intentionally preserved. They tell the story of the material and give the floor its authentic charm. Despite its striking texture, the surface remains comfortable underfoot: thanks to careful sanding and intensive brushing, there is no splintering, and the spruce parquet flooring feels warm and natural even when walked on barefoot.

The scaffolding plank is made from spruce wood, which is naturally a predominantly light-colored timber with numerous small knot markings that have been preserved. The reclaimed scaffolding wood plank is finished with natural oil, allowing the characteristic darkening of spruce over time to remain visible. This natural aging process creates a warm, light brown tone, giving the scaffolding plank a welcoming and inviting appearance.

This plank floor is truly one of a kind – a floor that defines spaces and deserves to be showcased. With its unmistakable charm, it offers a wide range of design possibilities for both modern and retro-inspired interiors. Especially in spacious rooms, the reclaimed scaffolding wood plank reveals its full impact and becomes an impressive focal point of the interior.

Construction and Features of the XL Reclaimed Scaffolding Wood Plank

The XL reclaimed scaffolding wood plank, naturally oiled, impresses not only with its unique origin but also with a well-designed construction that makes it a durable and living-space-friendly parquet floor. The plank is built as a 3-layer engineered parquet floor. The stable middle layer and balancing backing ensure that the spruce wood adapts optimally to the indoor environment while maintaining long-term dimensional stability. For precise and clean installation, the planks feature a classic tongue-and-groove joint system.

The oil finish reliably protects the surface against stains and simplifies everyday maintenance. With impressive lengths of 2.20 m or 2.60 m, this plank belongs to the category of generous long-format flooring. The 28 cm width emphasizes the striking character of the reclaimed wood and allows each individual plank to stand out beautifully – ideal for showcasing the unique structure of the reclaimed scaffolding wood plank.
